Why we're here
This corner has been a laundromat for years. We took it over in August 2023 and kept it as one — the neighborhood has its rhythms, and a laundromat at 14th between Avenue A and Avenue B is part of them.
Through 2024 we ran walk-in only. By May 2025 it was clear the model didn't fit how downtown actually lives — fifth-floor walk-ups, doorman buildings, work schedules that don't pause for laundry day. So we added pickup. E-trike, because in this density it's the logical move. The shop on 14th is still here. The route changed.

Where we are
540 East 14th Street, between Avenue A and Avenue B. We serve the East Village, Stuy Town, Peter Cooper Village, the Lower East Side, Gramercy Park, Murray Hill, NoHo, SoHo, Greenwich Village, NYU, Alphabet City, Kips Bay, and Union Square. Every block of every neighborhood — door-to-door.
Three promises
Free pickup and delivery — $30 minimum order. No surcharge, no "free above $X." Pickup is free, full stop.
Premium hypoallergenic detergent on every order. We also carry our own premium scented detergent, Tide and Tide with Downy.
Same-day Wash & Fold if your bag reaches us by noon. Pickup or drop-off — both count toward the cutoff. Return time is yours to choose when you book.
How it actually works
You book at sudsbuds.com/schedule. Two-minute form. Pick a pickup window — morning or evening, today or whichever day fits. No app, no account, no card to start. If something changes, text us back at the number on your confirmation and we'll move the pickup.
Our courier comes by e-trike on the day and window you picked. Hand the bag through your door, leave it with your doorman, or set it outside if that's how your building works — tell us in the booking notes what fits. Most pickups take two minutes at the door. Then your bag rides back to the shop on 14th.
At the shop we sort by your tag — wash, fold, dry-clean, or tailor, all at our 14th Street counter. We never outsource. Premium hypoallergenic detergent is the default; we have dedicated machines for sensitive loads, no upcharge. Return is same-day if your bag reached us by noon, next-day otherwise. Same courier, same door.
Called to do a same-day wash & fold with pickup & delivery, since the laundry at my place is out. I'd never done this before, and the folks on the phone were super patient with me, explaining clearly how it'd work. Everything went exactly according to schedule -- my clothes came back clean and very nicely-folded. Highly recommend, thanks for getting me out of a jam at the last minute!

If you live in any of the twelve neighborhoods listed above, we already know your block — the doormen, the walk-up patterns, the timing of laundry day in a downtown building. The shop is open seven days, 7am to 8pm.
